You know about how Kuvira's trying to use the spirit vines as a superweapon? Now think about this- Baatar Jr. said that the swamp's vines are much more powerful than Republic City's vines.

And the vines from Republic City are enough to blast a hole in a train. Think about what the swamp's vines can do. This is practically a spirit nuke.

Let's also not forget how the vines' laser makes a similar sound to Vaatu's laser. This actually makes sense, as Republic City's vines were created by Vaatu. But what about the ones from the swamp?

And now I think Dark Korra was made because of Vaatu slowly reforming inside of Raava.
